Natural Asthma tea Remedies

My Grandmother passed away many years ago, but I've always had a fascination with "old people remedies" and " Old wives' tales" ; and the fact that Sometimes they actually really do work. My gran used to say some pretty weird things, and I'm pretty sad that I was never old enough to appreciate it, or actually try it out. So - every now and then - I will post a few 'Old People remedies' that I've read about, seen, or tried!

My ex-partner has chronic asthma, and so I felt this was the perfect topic to start with, since I've got  experiences with this.

Just a disclaimer: Just because they've worked for me does not mean they will work for you. Please consult your healthcare professional before trying any remedies etc. This is not necessarily proven to diagnose, cure or prevent and issues, disease or ailment. Please be cautious when using or ingesting any natural products.

So Herewith = Natural asthma tea remedies:

The symptoms of asthma may be relieved by the antispasmodic and expectorant properties of the essential oil in Thyme.

and finally....

Lavender and Thyme Tea

20g dried lavedner flowers
20g dried thyme leaves

Mix the herbs together thoroughly and store in an airtight container. For the tea, infuse 1 heaped teaspoon with 1 cup (250ml) boiling water for 15 minutes. Strain and then sweeten with honey to taste. Drink 1 - 3 cups a day.
This tea can soothe the respiratory tract and calm breathing.
