Baby meal plan - BLW

Wondering what to feed your little between boob/formula feeds and on the BLW journey?

Here's a quick and easy 3 day meal plan for a carnivol baby:
(Disclaimer: this meal plan is based off our 8 month old baby who does not have allergies and is well into her BLW journey.
Never leave your baby unattended when they are eating.
Consult your doctor for dietary requirements or for information regarding when to start solids.)

Our times are as follows:

Breakfast - 8:00
Snack - 10:00
Lunch - 12:00
Snack - 14:30
Supper - 17:00

With breast on demand throughout the day.

If rice cakes are too hard for your little, or they are still gag/choke prone with rice cakes, you can use a cracker/bread as an alternative.

For the steamed apple, some mum's add a little bit of cinnamon for an extra yum factor. We have yet to introduce cinnamon, though.

French toast is such a massive win for us. When she refuses to eat something, I know she'll nibble on French toast. (not all days are good eating days. When my daughter is teething she struggles to eat as she normally would)

Remember to get water into those little tummies to help digesting the "big people food".

I know some mums are against butter, but I lightly butter my daughter's bread fingers to prevent gagging/choking. This is obviously a personal choice and not for everybody - this whole meal plan in fact.

I switch between mash potatoes & hashbrowns for my little, just to keep things interesting. She particularly likes the smiley-face hashbrowns. Unfortunately those don't contain a lot of mash and tend to be a bit oily, so I try give them as little as possible despite her love for it.

Day 2's supper can get really messy, so I'd recommend putting your little into clothes that are fine to get stains on them (just in case).

My Little reeeaallyy enjoys her yogurt and loves bread just like her momma, so breakfast is a massive win on day 3 for us!

If you're giving fruits with skins, either skin them or put them in a silicone taste feeder to prevent gagging.

This meal plan is just an example of SOME of the food I give her. I tend to give her more vegetarian options (rice proteins, chickpea etc), as that seems to be gentle on her stomach.

If you're interested in giving the vegetarian option a try, check out frys food company's products.

I did a review on their products in a previous blog post, so feel free to explore some of the other articles as well!

Enjoy!
