Review Day: A-Toosh-a-Licious Cloth Nappies

Where do I even begin?!?

I started this journey very skeptical and unsure if this 'lifestyle' would work for us. I gotta tell you - when that parcel arrived (especially as quickly as it did), I felt like a kid in a candy store.

I could barely contain myself long enough for the courier to walk to his car!!

First of all... I ordered their special (started pack combo - option 2), which consisted of:
3 x Solid colour nappies
7 x Standard print nappies
10 x Microfiber inserts
Standard print Wetbag
Toosh Balm
1 x Disposable Bamboo Liner

All for R995, which I feel is a fairly decent price and quite a good jump into the cloth world.
(I'd recommend trying out one or two different types of cloth Nappies before getting this--I got this first-off for this review).

These are all pocket cloth Nappies, which is exactly the type my research indicated would suite my lifestyle best.
I am so in love with this product! Or this brand! The quality and feel of each nappy is absolutely fantastic! I loved it before I even tried it on the baby.

The stunning designs and the absorbance levels sold me on the first wet diaper change. I was panicking for the first poopy change. And it came. And it was MUCH easier than I expected it to be. Its about the same mess and difficulty as a regular wet wipe.

When I saw the mess in the nappy I thought... "No way this will be white again" . I washed the Nappies as instructed and I noticed the yellow stains on the microfiber inserts were still there. Surely leaving them to dry in the sun wouldn't really remove the stains? That doesn't seem possible.

It was like MAGIC!!!! The inserts were the same exact colour as when I received them!! I'm not sure how long I'll get those results for, but the fact that it was Real blew my mind. Sunlight as a natural bleach...who knew?!

Overall I must say that I loved these Nappies and cloth Nappies officially have a new fan! We're still on part-time cloth, but I definitely want to make the switch more permanent. Even the a toosh bum balm feels like its GOOD for baby. Usually bum balms have an identifiable smell... This stuff just fit right in to baby's natural baby scent by just adding a hint of coconut!

The only downsides of the whole ENTIRE buy was that :

A) the toosh balm was quite firm and needs to be melted between the fingers first, which isn't easy to do when you're in a hurry, or baby is fussy.
B) The amount of nappies is just enough to get you hooked, but the bigger combo's price is too intimidating as a once-off
C) due to it being winter, the inserts are taking longer to dry, which means I can't consecutively use cloth for a few days, and tumble drying shortens the insert's lifespan, so I'd like to avoid doing that.

I give this package and brand : 9/10
